"The Mediocre Teacher Tells. The Good Teacher Explains. The Superior Teacher Demonstrates." (Anonymous.)
Video or DVD: Before and After Speaking Dog Language
Pam's secrets (and the dog's), revealed in these
unparalleled, unrehearsed, on-hands therapy sessions, where
you can see a 6 year old child handling two very aggressive
dogs, entirely on her own! Before and After Speaking Dog Language
has never been shown publicly before, and never will. It is
alternative, so it is only for those who are ready for it -
for those who have the maturity, and the desire to break the
patterns that they are in, and to reach for something better.
You thought Discovery and Carte Blanche showed you everything.
Not this. This is footage that you are not supposed to see.
It reveals too much. As information is empowerment - it places the power in the hands
of the dog owner.
Here you see about 30 minutes of what goes on behind the scenes.
It places the power in your hands, instead of in the
hands of the dog system. Or of the dog. (So don't let him see
it.)
In seeing the Big Picture, you learn what the influences are
that are affecting the way you perceive and relate to your dog.
(Which directly affect the way that he behaves.) You see the
result of misinformation (of which you are not remotely aware),
so that you can avoid it - or repair the damage that might already
have been done. You see an extract from a Medical Journal, pointing
out that we are handling our dogs all wrong; you see wild dog
behaviour being correlated with that of the domestic dog; you
see a dog expert discuss Pam's techniques - and totally riveting "before and after speaking dog language" scenes, where the camera
takes you into peoples' homes - after which you will never be
embarrassed about having a problem dog again! It is so nice
to see how many of these people are struggling even more than
we are - and some of it is very amusing!
Then you see dog owners pour out their hearts because they have
tried everything - and nothing has worked for them. Then we
move on to see Before and After Speaking Dog Language, where
the camera catches a wolf hunting a child, then choosing not
to, without a single command or choker chain. It is therefore
a long-term solution. As a result of applying simple, natural
principles, the wolf will now start seeing children as pups
that need to be protected - not children to hunt - by chewing
their toys, chewing their clothes, chewing them.
Which is obviously so much better than merely obeying commands.
Because when a dog obeys, the urge to be aggressive has not
been removed. He just waits for another opportunity. This is
made very clear in another scene on the video, where you see
what obedient dogs can - and so often do - when the person who
took them to training was not present... We cannot all do what
one dog trainer told a dog owner to do - "Stay at home in case
you have to command your dog." Even then, he had better stay
in the same room as the dog. (Or outside with the dog.) Then
we see the mind-blowing change in these dogs, once natural
principles were applied . The 6 year old child, Monica,
is seen handling dogs that dog trainers had given up on because
they could not handle them. This she did purely with very simple
non-verbals that the dogs' instincts related to instantly. (Dogs
are not people!) And you see how. And so can your children...
Children then take these empowering techniques out into the
world with them. They see them work on the video, so they start
using them themselves. It gives them such an advantage in life.
The enlightenment this home movie gives is so enormous, it will be
a watershed in your life. One for which you will always be grateful.
Even if you don't own a dog, or if your dog is well behaved
- naughty dogs are very much a part of our social system, and
of this planet. When you can "speak" their language,
you no longer need be bothered by, jumped on, climbed on, or
even bitten by, your friends dogs, your neighbour's dogs, your
clients' dogs.

Video or DVD: Living with an Alien.
In this home movie, you meet the actual people in the
case reports, and see the immediate, spontaneous changes in
their dogs’ behaviour - as well as the rather amusing,
astonished expressions on their dogs’ faces, as they realise
that their cover has been blown! You also see the relief of
their owners, as they gain control over their dogs, through
gaining a thorough knowledge of what motivates their dogs to
behave the way they do. And you see exactly how all this was
achieved: simply, and completely naturally - without having
to resort to any force or gimmicks. Living with an Alien does
not just talk the talk. It walks the walk - by showing you techniques
that you can actually see working. It is much more powerful
to show, than to tell – and that is exactly what Pam does
in this home movie. And indeed, in all her unique home movies.

Video or DVD: The Dogs Must be Crazy
Animal Talk has this to say about The Dogs Must be Crazy:
"In this informative and entertaining footage, dog psychologist Pam Whyte explains how to get a deeper insight into your dog's mind and instincts so that your pet becomes your friend and companion..and tells you what they have to say about us!"
And Essentials says:
"The Dogs Must be Crazy is well-known 'pet shrink' Pam Whyte's third home movie, aimed at fostering a mutually rewarding relationship between dog and owner. It features footage of actual house calls of owners of dogs with a variety of behavioural problems, and Pam Whyte shows how, by better understanding canine communication, owners can turn doggie delinquents into obedient companions, without raising either your voice or your hand."
One dog owner said: "I saw this movie at a friend's house. When I now go to my friends, and they see how I can handle their dogs, the call me "The dog psychologist!" And a dog trainer said: "If I had not see how Pam did it, I would have thought it was rigged!"
What most people seem to like about The Dogs Must be Crazy, is that it makes them realise that they're not
the only ones who are experiencing behaviour problems with their dogs - in fact, they're standard! And even better - they see dogs that are even worse behaved than theirs! And better still, they see how even the worst behaved dogs reform once they are understood.
This home movie shows unrehearsed footage
of actual Natural Dog Training sessions within the dog owners homes, which answers so many questions that typical dog owners ask. It shows how well
Nature's Formula for Obedience works, demonstrating these natural, non-gimmicky techniques step by simple step.
You see from the beginning of each session, (where you see Pam introduce herself, because she hadn't met
any of these families until they were actually on camera) until the end of the session, where you see them discussing their
dogs' progress - as well as see the change in the dogs yourself. (All, that is, except for the lady with the Spaniel at the beginning
of the movie. In the middle of their session her geyser burst, so Pam and the camera men had to leave.)
This is a true Canine Soapie, where you see how people actually live with, and interact with their dogs
- and with one another over their dogs. It is real life, not rehearsed straight lines where dogs that break their stay are
edited out, and no-one discusses their feelings. Here, you see the gamut of emotions that go with so much of dog owning.
Humour, tears, quarrelling, making up, guilt, joy - they are all caught by the lens. All spontaneous and sincere. All of which
we dog owners can relate to so easily.
And this is another of the reasons why Pam gets the results that she does - feelings are acknowledged, and are
recognised as an important part of dog owning. The way we feel about our dogs, the way they feel about us, is crucial. Dog owning is
an emotional attachment, and when our dogs fail to live within acceptable parameters - our emotions go awry. We are emotional
about our dogs - and they are emotional about us. Leaving our
emotions out of training is like leaving baking powder out of
a cake. (Or cement out of a building.) Or barking up the wrong tree. At the beginning of the movie, you meet Michelle in tears
over her impossible Pit Bull. Then two weeks later we visit her again, and you see
her saying proudly and delightedly: "My dog respects me!"
